State Advocacy
The MITA State Government Relations Committee (GRC) interacts with state lawmakers, advocacy groups, agencies, and stakeholders to address medical imaging issues nationwide. Our efforts range from monitoring the legislative environment,
analyzing pending bills, directing state lobbying efforts, to revising legislative and regulatory language.
The MITA State GRC monitors and engages on several key issues to the medical imaging industry including:
- Breast Density Notification
- Certificate of Need
- Coverage & Reimbursement
- Health Technology Assessment
- Product Stewardship
- State Regulations
- "Right to Repair"
Through NEMA, MITA participates in activities hosted by the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL), the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (DLCC), and the Republican Legislative Campaign Committee (RLCC).
