MITA Statement on House Committee on Natural Resources Hearing to Protect Federal Helium Reserve

The Medical Imaging & Technology Alliance (MITA) today issued the following statement from Executive Director Gail Rodriguez in response to the House Committee on Natural Resources hearing on “The Past, Present and Future of the Federal Helium Program” regarding the Responsible Helium Administration and Stewardship Act (H.R. 527):

“Protecting our domestic helium supply is essential to the medical imaging industry, which supports thousands of American jobs and develops life-saving innovations that benefit patients in the United States and around the world. MITA is encouraged by recent bipartisan efforts to pass legislation to prevent the premature closure of the Federal Helium Reserve, and we hope that today’s hearing brings us one step further in accomplishing this goal.”
