Industry Wants Easy-to-Follow Sunshine Requirements
Industry is against expanding the scope of the physician payment sunshine provision of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, as CMS establishes regulatory guidance.
“The legislation, as drafted, identifies the most relevant types and natures of payment,” the Medical Imaging and Technology Alliance (MITA) says in response to a docket opened by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) following a forum last month on transparency reports and reporting of physician ownership or investment interests.
