Blame Game Begins While FDA Finalizes Report on Excessive Radiation Doses

While the FDA finalizes a report on its investigation into hundreds of excessive radiation cases, state officials, healthcare providers and federal lawmakers are already pointing fingers.

The agency is “weeks away” from finishing its report on the investigation of more than 250 incidents in which patients received up to eight times the normal amount of radiation during brain scans, CDRH spokesman Dick Thompson told D&DL.
